My 16 year old son woke up and had a bloody nose nausea and light headedness and was vertical looking. Never has he ever experienced this before and I m wondering if I should take him to the hospital. He didn t have no accidents nor trauma to his head or body so it scared me he s in bed resting but I m worried something mite be wrong.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read and understood the history about your son having the problems of bloody nose on getting up, nausea and light headedness and looking vertical.
The causes in a young boy can be a generalized disease like Enteric fever or so.
I would advise you to take him to the hospital for:
Clinical evaluation, examination and investigations including those of blood for typhoid, sugar, kidney and liver functions.
I find this answer helpful
