What Causes Bleeding On The Inside Of The Cheeks?

yes i have a question, 2 days ago i bit the inside of my cheek it started bleeding, it has been very sore and when i took a flashlight to look at it today it looks very red and similar to a ulcer that one would usually have on the inside of the lips or gums, can this be helped with warm salt water rinses or should i go to an urgent care?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain due to cheek bite there is injury to the cheek mucosa leading to formation of a Traumatic Ulcer and it is similar to the one seen on the inside of lips and gums..
It is painful due to inflammation of the mucosa secondary to injury..

You need not to worry as it will heal gradually even without any treatment..

As of now to relieve pain you can apply Lignocaine Gel over the area to relieve pain especially during eating..
Take anti inflammator painkiller like Ibuprofen to reduce inflammation and pain..
Sucking ice pops and doing cold water rinses will help in reducing Inflammation and pain..
Gargle with alcohol free antiseptic mouthwash.
Avoid spicy food to prevent irritation of the area..

In case if it worsen consult a local dentist and get evaluated,,
