What Causes Bleeding Through Anus After Having First Intercourse?

Hi there, I had sex for the first time yesterday. Today when I went to the toilet to poop, I was bleeding from my anus ( ass ). Then in the night when I went to poop again there was more blood again from my ass. What do you think it is? I am a female and I know for sure it's not my periods.

Hi,

According to your history the possibilities are:
- Sometimes after first intercourse due to rupture of hymen bleeding can be seen. There is a possibility of mistaking that for rectal bleeding.
- If the bleeding is really from the anal opening, there is possibility of anal fissure or hemorrhoids.

If the bleeding is minimal and subsides soon you may not need any specific treatment. If the bleeding persists or recurs, better to get evaluated. So, please consult a General surgeon and get examined. By clinical examination the exact cause of the problem can be identified and treatment can be taken accordingly. Constipation can lead to bleeding per rectum sometimes using high fiber diet, plenty of oral fluids and laxatives can help in relieving the problem.
