What Causes Bleeding With White Discharge During Periods?

Hi i'm having my period at the moment and i can see that there has been a mix of blood and something white in it...not mucus...and my stomach is still big...can you help me.
By the way i was told by my doctor that i have a 5.0x 5.5cm cyst right of my uterus...
