What Causes Bleeding,swelling And Pain In Breast After Sex?

Hi Dr. Samuel, May i ask you about why it is happening bleeding after sexual intercourse one day ago? Actually i had period one week ago, but there was not much blood, and the blood more looked like dark colour. One week after we had sex on Sun, and after that im having swollen feeling of breasts and painful abdomen.

Hi

Breast soreness or tenderness, nausea, fatigue and the frequent urge to urinate are some the early signs of pregnancy in the first weeks after fertilization.

A week after sex may be a little early to detect pregnancy in most women.I would suggest you to take urine pregnancy test 2 weeks after the date of intercourse or 10 days after missed period to get reliable results.

Bleeding after sex can also occur due to vaginal inflammation or vaginal dryness which should be ruled out by clinical examination.

Pelvic ultrasound may also be required to rule any uterine or ovarian disorders.
