What Causes Blindness In The Eye While Suffering From Migraines?
Hello I ve been getting migraines for about 5 years now (I am 19) and whenever these migraines occur I go blind in one eye and partially in the other. I also get extremely nauseous along with the bad pain a migraine brings. I had an mri of my head done about a year ago but the doctors didn t find anything wrong. Kind of hard to believe because I pretty sure going blind with these headaches is not normal. Another thing that I had questions about is exercise. Whenever I run, jump or anything similar to that I get extremely nauseous. I can t ride a bike or jog for long periods of time without feeling like I m going to be sick. I CAN lift weights, do push ups, pull ups and sit ups and feel perfectly fine but when I start to run I can t run for long. Any idea what could be causing anything that I ve stated?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
The chest pain and lightheadedness after food can be due to: -Possibility of hypertension with beginning heart problem after diabetes. These need to be ruled out from a physical examination by a physician. -After eating more blood supply is attracted to digestive system.
This results in more stress to lungs and heart to combat the result but in compromised respiratory and heart function. Person can feel the discomfort. You need to evaluate Diabetes levels along with cardiac and respiratory health check up to know the basic cause followed by specific medication if needed. For self care try to have small and multiple servings to avoid stress on digestion. A short walk or Wajrasana after talking ng food.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
