What Causes Blisters Along With Numbness On The Surgical Scar?

I had a c-section almost 8 months ago which is still numb because of the surgery, the other day I was getting in the bath and noticed two very large (as long as my pinky) blisters on my lower stomach area just above my c-section scar. The blisters popped and scabbed but now where it was numb hurts under the skin and looks like big hole and it s very red and hard around the area its freaking me out because I know I have blister not burnt myself! I guess my question is what could this be?

Hello and welcome.

Blisters forming on striae is quite common especially due to the friction caused or scratching them. I would although still recommend a visit to your doctor to make sure this is nothing to do with lichen planus, staph infections, etc; but in the menatime make sure you are well hydrated. Use cocoa butter or virgin olive oil to the region, and avoid friction to the region or scratching it.

Best wishes.
