What Causes Blisters And Cellulitis In The Legs?

My 94 year old mother was diagnosed with cellulitis in her legs. She diabetic, has a heart condition as well as high blood pressure. She takes meds for the above conditions. She is allergic to penicilan and is taking babtram dis. She is on her 8th day of treatment and has developed blisters on the infected areas. Her GP can t see her until Monday. That s 4 days away. Should I be concerned and push for an earlier appointment?

Hi,

It is due to infection or inflammation of skin and subcutaneous tissue. Consult a general surgeon and star on IV antibiotics at the earliest.
