Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

From your explanation it can be due to few causes like bug bite, poison Ivy, staph infection etc.
So once getting it checked by an Emergency doctor and if needed getting a blood test done is a must.
For now you can apply Betnovate GM ointment over it.
Do ice packs over it.
Take Levocetrizine reduce swelling and itching.
If it is painful take anti inflammatory painkillers like Advil.
Avoid touching it again and again to reduce chances of spreading of infection.
Get it checked soon..

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
