What Causes Blisters In Mouth After Taking Throat Pain Medication?
Hi Doctor..everytime through throat pain i start getting fever and cold/blocked nose,my doctor prescribe me some medicines after taking their dose i get mouth blisters in throat which pains a lot while taking liquid diet too.I feel the reason for this is might be the prescribed medicines are strong.what should i do??
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The blisters can be because of the allergic reaction to the drug what you are taking resulting in allergic stomatitis. The other possible cause of the blisters can be a herpetic infection, it usually occurs secondary to stress. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Stop the drug. If it is allergic reaction, then you have to take a course of antihistamines like cetrizine. If it is a herpetic infection, no treatment is required, since it is a self limiting condition. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
