Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . The symptoms you mention is clearly indicating condition known as 'COLD SORES '. These are appear as blister and usually filled with fluid .

They are harmless and will go away In 7 - 10 days by its own . The fever you mention in query is because of cold sores .

Sometimes they do not go away by their own and need medical attention . the are caused by herpes simplex virus . There are many factor which act as trigger factor for infection , taking antibiotics is one of them.

I would suggest you to :-

- Avoid hot and spicy food .

- Apply orabase gel before every meal to reduce the pain and burning sensation.

- Continue taking acetaminophen or ibuprofen for pain, fever and inflammation.

If condition doesn't subside in a week then consult oral pathologist .

Doctor may prescribe anti viral drug (Acyclovir or Valacyclovir ) , steroid ointment or vitamin B12 supplement.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
