Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.
As per your complain developing blisters over lip along with dry patches and scabs seems to be due to
Contact Dermatitis that is due to
allergic reaction with the dye..
As it has started healing over the second day itself it does not seems like Herpes Virus Infection as if it would be herpes it would have started with some tingling of lips followed by clusters of
fluid filled blisters and will not generally resolve over the second day itself and last for about 2 weeks or some less..
It seems like allergic reaction only..
But if still you are doubtful you can
consult a Dermatologist and get evaluated and he can do a clinical evaluation and also advise blood tests like antigen antibody reaction and viral culture.
In case if it is allergic reaction anti allergics like levocetrizine and application of steroid ointment and cool compresses will relieve..
In case if it is herpes antiviral oral as well as
topical medication like Acyclovir, Valacyclovir will help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
