What Causes Blisters On Vulva And Around Anus After Having Unprotected Sex?
Hello, I ve recently noticed blisters appearing on my vulva area and some around the anal too. This makes defecation and urination painful for me. I ve also noticed that my groin hurts. I can feel that the lymph nodes around my groin are tender and painful to touch. This occurred around 4 days after my last intercourse (unprotected). What could this possibly be?

It would be very hard to point out the exact nature of the blisters without having been able to have a look at but I will definitely like to rule out a possibility of Herpes Genitalis. A short history of just 4 days after unprotected sex coincides with the incubation period of herpes (2-5 days); symptoms like pelvic pain, tenderness, enlarged lymph nodes in the groin, difficulty urination and defecation are somewhat suggestive of herpes. It is unlikely for any other STD to show up so fast except for herpes genitalis. Herpes lesions are quite characteristic to be diagnostic on a physical i.e grouped discrete vesicles or erosions/blisters. I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis. If this is indeed herpes, treatment would include oral antiviral like acyclovir Or valacyclovir.
