What Causes Bloating And Abdominal Discomfort When Diagnosed With Fatty Liver?

About 10years ago I was diagnosed with fatty liver disease. However the last 3months or so I am having daily discomfort and bloating in the upper right region of the abdomen. I am taking milk thistle for 2 weeks now. So far it does not seem to help a lot. I don t drink alcohol but I am on quite a lot of medication. So what else can I do?

Thanks for writing to HealthCareMagic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

Fatty liver is not a diagnosis or a disease it is just a result of mostly over weightedness or bad life style.

Bloating must be due to ill digestion. Here are a few suggestions which will help you get better.

1) Avoid coffee caffiene junk food oily fried food smoking fizzy drinksa and alcohol( what ever is relevant).
2) Do not binge eat , take smaller multiple meals.
3)Take more vegetables and fruits compared to fats and proteins.
4) Stay physicially active.
5) Reduce wieght if you are over weight.
6) Do try to take food with more fiber content like banana fibrous fruits and fiber supplement.

you problems will get better but it will take some time.
