What Causes Bloating And Constipation While Having Pacemaker, Blood Pressure And Diabetes?
My husband is retiring, but he doesn t keep well, he is 59, and takes 33 tablets a day. He has a pacemaker, is type 2 diabetic, blood pressure and arthritis, he take methotrexate, metformin, digoxin, and several more, he is badly constipated and bloated after eating a small amount of food. Over the past 2-3 weeks he has become breathless if he lifts anything and sleeps all the time when he sits down, please do you have any advice. Thanks Anne

His increased fatigue may be a reflection of his many chronic illnesses (especially if not controlled) or may be a side effect of one or more of his medications. His doctor may be able to determine the likely cause.
Increased shortness of breath may indicate that his heart problems may be worsening. He should be reassessed for this.
His gastrointestinal complaints of constipation, bloating may be related to his meds or due to particular food used.
It is best that he visit his doctor for physical examination and investigations.
