What Causes Bloating In Abdomen After A Morphine Shot?

Hello, my girlfriend went to the hospital earlier today due to lower back pain on her right side that wrapped around to her abdomen. Long story short, they ended up giving her morphine, and since then she feels as if her abdomen is swelling. She received the shot over 12 hours ago and still feels like this, if not worse. Why? please help
