Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Bloating, Legs Swelling And Extreme Food Cravings?
I am experiencing a condition frequently where my belly bloats to a degree that it looks extended, and my legs swell, too. I am eating a very healthy diet with very little sugar, only dense non-glycemic carbohydrates and moderate healthy protein. I don t drink. I am also feeling anxioius with extreme food cravings. What could be causing this?
I can understand your concern and would try to help you in the best possible way. You condition may be related to malabsorption syndrome, protein deficiency or even diabetes. I suggest you consult a doctor who may be able to diagnose you with a complete medical history, a physical examination and few investigations like blood tests, urine tests, USG abdomen and other tests. Once a diagnosis is made then only a comprehensive management plan may be started for you which may include dietary modifications and medications.
