What Causes Bloating Post Treatment For UTI?

My name is Kari. I have one kidney and so when I felt like I had an UTI i went to my doctor. I did have a UTI and have just finished the medication for it. I feel much better but I still feel the bloating feeling and soreness, just not as much as before. Is there anything else that I need to have checked?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, the symptoms may be because of the antibiotics and may settle in a few days with soft diets.

However, using Motility agents like domperidone and antacids like Omeprazole before meals may be helpful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
