What Causes Blockage And Redness In Ear?

Hi dear doctor I had a mind of weird symptoms 2 years ago and the symptoms were pressure in the head and redness in the ear canals and throat as I was feeling burning and globus sensation.I still have but also my left ear is kind of block but there is no drainage etc

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of blockage and redness in ear which is due to frequent ear infections. The symptoms you mention in query can occur due to simple ear wax to more serious acoustic neuroma like condition. Need not to worry. You should take preventive measures such as

- Avoid touching or pricking it with any sharp object.

- Maintain hygiene of ear canal.

- Put Otogesic ear drops.

I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist once and get it examined. Doctor may order certain test like audiometry , CT scan, low and high pitched ringing to rule out underlying systemic conditions. Doctor may treat it according to the diagnosis , he/she may prescribe medicine like esprisone and antibiotics.
