What Causes Blockage In Fallopian Tubes While Suffering With Rise In Thyroid Levels?

I had blood work done and my thyroid levels came back high, I went to the radiologist to have imaging done and both of my tubes are showing blocked? Can this be because of my elevated thyroid? I also missed my last period, I have never missed a period in my life. In December I lost a baby at 38 weeks and had my second C-section, I wanted the imaging to ensure the surgery caused no damage to reproductive system. Thank You

Hi,

What exactly was the scan report? High thyroid levels (I guess it is TSH which is elevated) cannot cause blocked tubes. For missed period, if urine pregnancy test is negative, let us wait till next date. If no bleeding by then, we can evaluate further. This might be from a transient hormonal disturbance.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
