What Causes Blockage Of Ear & Dizziness?

HI THERE I HAD MY TRAGUS PIERCED LAST WEEK (THURSDAY) I HAVE BEEN CLEANING LIKE THEY SAY WITH SALTED WATER SINCE IT BLED ALOT WHEN SHE DONE IT NOW I SEEM TO HAVE ALOT OF DIZZYNESS EAR FEELS BLOCKED A LITTLE TOO..COULD THIS BE WATER REMAINING IN THERE ?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of blockage of ear and dizziness. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , But in your case it seems to me that there is spread of infection from through eustachian tube which is left untreated for long time or low immunity. Need not to worry. For now take steam twice a day and do warm saline gargles. Apply warm compresses on ear. I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist without delay otherwise it can spread to middle and inner ear and complicate the condition. Doctor may order throat swab test , CT scan , viral culture test , blood test and examination with otoscope to rule out condition like pulsatile tinnitus . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , decongestant , expectorant along with anti inflammatory.
