Hi,

Noted your history of feeling blocked throat on eating certain things like peanuts, food gets stuck, chest infection, whooping cough, blood in saliva and so on.
To discuss your symptoms one by one:
Certain foods have chemicals in them that on chewing react on the mucosa of mouth, pharynx, esophagus and so on to cause the symptoms you have.
The only solution is to identify all such foods, beverages and stop these altogether.
Recurrent chest infections can be due to lowered immunity as suggested by the food problems and thus you need to do the following:
Identify the factors that cause chest infection and avoid these.
Avoid crowded places.
Get blood levels of Vitamin A and D so that correction of deficiency can help you to get proper immunity.
Whooping cough is forceful rupturing the small blood vessels and thus blood in saliva. Take anti-tussive that is cough suppressants during such attacks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT and General Surgeon
