i had a bad cold last week and on wednesday sniffed with a blocked nose and got a sudden stabbing pain like a marble being pushed through a straw that lasted 2 seconds this happend 3 x during that morning since i have had a nigly not bad headache is this anything sinister
The most probable causes of such headache after cold and stuffy nose is sinusitis. I would advise you the following: - Instil decongestant nasal drops like Otrivin in nose in laying down position and to take plain water steam inhalation - Also, take paracetamol and Ibuprofen and see the results - Take rest - Avoid allergens - If the condition does not improve then consult an ENT surgeon and get ENT endoscopy - CT scan of nose and sinuses - May need additional antibiotic coverage
