What Causes Blood Clots From Nose And Dull Ache In Eyes After Nasal Polypectomy?
I had a nasal polypectomy, for the second time in a year, 2 weeks ago. As well as large globs of blood I am getting very large (+1 inch), hard, bloody clots coming out of my nose when I (gently) blow my nose and when using a saline nasal douche given to me by the hospital. As well as feeling very tired and finding it difficult to concentrate I have a dull ache/tingling all around my eyes, cheeks, nose and teeth and jaw. Are these normal symptoms after this length of time or should I be worried? My concern is I need to be able to return to work next week and I don't know if I'll be up to it as things stand. I am 39, 12 stone 5'10". I suffer from asthma.
Hello. It is normal after nasal polypectomy to have this kind of problems. The bloody clots can also close the sinusis this is why you have dull ache. What i do not understand is Why you are doing nasal polyoectomy?!!! You should do FESS , because you have asthma and the nasal polyps will come back again and again if you do only Polypectomy.
Wish you all the best...
