What Causes Blood Clots From Vagina After Having Depo Shot?

I gave birth on April 18 of this year I got the depo shot before going home from the hospital. I have got what I believe to be my period 5 days ago. A few days prior to that I had brown spotting. Today while using the bathroom blood sprayed out briefly then a few hours later when whipping myself I saw small blood clots on the tissue.

Hello,
Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. You seem to be experiencing side effects of the hormone contraception. Menstrual disturbances are a common feature observed during the first couple of months of commencing hormone contraception. However, heavy bleeding should always be taken care of promptly. I would ask you to see your health care provider for further management. You need styptics to arrest the bleeding. Hope this helps.
