What Causes Blood Clots In Mouth With Throat Pain?
Hi, I had a tonsilectomy in 2004. A few days later I got blood clots on the right side in my mouth. Ever since then I have trouble swallowing and when I swallow it hurts. I also noticed that my voice has changed too, my voice is deeper and I seem to have a lisp as well. I've gone to an ENT doctor, they've done an endoscopy and the barium swallow. It showed nothing. I'm so tired of my throat always hurting, so if anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated
I have gone through your query regarding throat pain and blood clott in mouth.
Though you have got tonsillectomy in 2004 and since than you have this problem. Just after operation on upto 1 or 2 weeks there may be pain due to slow epthilization of tonsillar fossa and during that time one may have pain on degulition. but now about 10 years have passed therefore it needs some investigations and thorough examination of throat by ENT doctor.
There are possibilities that you may have some another problem not associated with tonsillitis or it's operation. These all may be clar by your examination and investigations.

If on examination and investigation every thing was found o.k. than one may think about GERD (gastro esophageal reflux disease). Regards.
