What Causes Blood Clots In The Nostrils After Having Anesthesia?

Is it normal to have blood in your bogies, streaks of blood and actual clots of blood in your nose after having anesthetic? I had a long surgery on Sunday 7th, now it is Friday and it is still happening. Iv never suffered from them before so I am becoming really concerned. Your help would be great. Kind regards, Rebecca.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hi,
welcome to HCM,
Thanks for your query..
They must have done Nasotracheal intubation in you for anesthesia..which might have caused nasal trauma,...and that is cause for your nasal bleed.. i suggest you to put Haemocoagulase nasal drops whenever it bleeds ..this will sure solve your problem..and this condition will resolve on its own..nothing to worry..
take care...wish u a speedy recovery Rebecca...
