Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I took a bath this morning and just now it had an odor and moist so I went to clean it and there s blood in my navel. Maybe I didn t dry it good from this morning. I took a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol and clean it. What else should I do and should I be worried?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain it seems that the foul smell and bleeding from the navel area seems to be due to infection in the navel and the most common cause of infection is commonly moisture accumulation in the navel and due to moisture there can be bacterial proliferation and infection..
I would suggest you to first of all keep the area dry and clean and do not let moisture accumulation in the navel.. You can also clean the area with betadine solution.. Apply triple antibiotic ointment twice a day.. Do not wear very tight clothes so that there can be air exposure to the area..
In case if still there is no improvement or the conditions worsen you can consult a general physician and get evaluated and he can advise you oral intake of antibiotics along with topical application..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
