What Causes Blood Drainage From My Arm And Vein Recess?

I had a hysterectomy 6 weeks ago. This week, especially the last few days, when I lift my arm, I can literally see the blood drain from my arm, and my veins recess. My legs are the same way if I am sitting down and raise them. What could be causing this? I am having no pain at all.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* Looking blood drainage from upper and lower limbs without pain may be a sign of loss of subcutaneous fat planes making the veins more visible and the same feeling of blood drainage.

Kindly get once examined by the treating surgeon to find out any malfunctioning of the underlying vascular structures at systemic level postoperatively; one can not neglect is sole on the basis of the absence of pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
