What Causes Blood In Semen?

My husband had bright red blood in his semen you could not see any white this past Sunday ( right away I thought cancer). I called for an appt, but could not get him in for a week. Today ( Tuesday) He had brown color, but you could see white. He also complained of an itchy feeling in testicles. Im so worried .. Could the brown possibly be old blood and it's trying to heal?

He is also an alcoholic , been drinking for about 7 years .. Finally realized he had to quit , this happen on day 5 of Detox. ( heavy shakes , no DT's) Doctor prescribed med for the shakes, also on high blood pressure pills. He did hurt his back earlier in the week

I was so happy he quit, and now this . my nerves are shot .. Any ideas what this could be?

I really appreciate your concern for your husband as such you do not have any evidence that your husband having a blood in his semen so in my opinion it is advisable to get done the test of semen to confirm this, if this turned positive then further test need to be done and for that it would be necessary to consult the urologist, take care and have nice day.
