What Causes Blood In Sputum While Suffering From Tonsillitis?
Hellow... I am 23 years old and have tonsils from long back and today when I brushed my teeth and I Got to clear my throat I got some red dark blood in my sputum just once and after that I didn't get today lager just once I got it and Is It serious problem ?

Here this one time blood streak could be from gum bleeding...
If again blood in sputum cones than bronchitis of acute pharyngitis like might be the cause
Than work up needed by posterior pharynx examination and Auscultation first
If needed than chest x ray done
For acute bronchitis suitable antibiotic and decongestant course prescribed
Avoid excess spicy foods
According to cause specific treatment given
Take care
Consult physician for examination
