What Causes Blood In Stool After Gallbladder Removal Surgery?

I just got my gallbladder removed a week ago (3 small incisions), I m taking pain Meds (once a day now) but I still experience sharp pains when I move or breath in. Today I ve noticed there s quite a bit of blood when I poop. Normal, or should I seek medical help?

as its been only 7 days post surgery , it is usual to experience pain on activities , as the wound still needs some time to heal completely

however blood in stool may not be normal, except if u r facing constipation as Constipation is common post surgery, especially with the use of narcotic pain medications u might have been taking
constipation can lead to bleeding hemorrhoids which may be the cause of ur rectal bleeding
however GI bleeding should be investigated, as rectal bleeding is never normal and i would strongly suggest you to get in touch with ur dr to rule out any underlying problem
