What Causes Blood In Stool And Pain In Lower Left Abdomen?

Hello. This morning, I saw that the tissue has blood after I pooped however, I didn t get to observe the stool itself. I pooped again the second time and realised that the stool was coated with blood. Also, when I let out gas while trying to poop, there will be a bit bloody discharge. My lower left abdominal and right lumbar region hurt a little. I went to the doctor and she did a proctoscopy. She said that it isn t anal fissure and my anal cavity is clear as well. She recommended to do a scope. However, I don t think it s that serious. Can someone help me with this?

Thank you so much for asking your question here.To be specific I need to know your age,associated symptoms other than the pain,if you had any diarrhoea,was there mucus in the stool,was it foul smelling,episodes of nausea or vomiting,any significant weight loss,pain during defecation etc.I need these informations to give you a complete answer.
But since you had already seen a specialist and since she has advised a colonoscopy ,i suggest you do that.
