What Causes Blood In Stool And Painful Excretion?

Hi, I m a 26 year old male, having what might seem like a hemorrhoid problem. My stool has blood on it and it hurts during excretion. It s pure red so I m assuming there s a cut inside the rectum, right near the opening because that s where I feel the pain. What also I ve noticed is that I get weird pain in my bottom area after having sweets. Could this hemorrhoid pain be connected to me having sweets? Please do let me know. Also, if so, is there a way to cure this because I m too young to give up on sweets. Thanks

Hi,

I can understand this problem is quite worrying for you. Sweets should not impact hemorrhoids. The way in which to improve your condition is to avoid constipation. You should drink plenty of water and keep well hydrated. Eat foods high in fiber as hard stool will make going to the toilet even more uncomfortable and will also cause damage to the anal canal and bleeding.

I would recommend using Annusol suppositories or gel applied directly to the anus. Ensure that a doctor examines you as there are different types of hemorrhoids and he/she an monitor your condition and prescribe medications. Occasionally surgery is required.

Hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.

All the best,
