What Causes Blood In Stool And Tenderness In Testicles?
my boyfriend has bright red blood around his stool and recently had one clot also. he also had tenderness in his right testicle, he thought he slept weird and his boxers were cutting into him. it has been a week and still tender to the touch. if you feel it it feels like its a little harder than the right. not the entire testicle, just like a strip of it, maybe a tube? are these related and what can cause these symptoms?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Your boyfriend has 2 different problems: 1. Blood around the stool and a clot once. This is most probably due to either piles (hemorrhoids) or a mass or a polyp in the rectum. He needs to undergo a physical examination and colonoscopy for a proper diagnosis and plan for the management which may be medical or surgical depending upon the diagnosis.
2. The tenderness of the tube in the scrotum looks to be due to epididymitis, which is usually secondary to urinary tract infection or so, Get the blood, urine and stool tested, Ultrasonography and color doppler examination of the scrotum and abdomen. Needs a long course of an antibiotic. Also needed is sitz bath, laxative and symptomatic and supportive treatment.
