So I have recently went to the bathroom to poop and when I went to wipe there was a fair amount of blood and my stool had streaks of red in it I have been drinking monster energy a fair amount and I figured it would be the cause of it but is this a serious problem and aside from not drinking monster for awhile what should I do?

Hi,

Appearance of blood in stool could be due to presence of fissure in the anal canal. You can use laxatives to prevent constipation, as constipation would precipitate such symptoms.

Also, try to consume soft and easily digestible food, which will also avoid constipation. If the symptoms do not subside and happens more frequently, you need to be examined clinically, for which you need to consult a Surgeon.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
