What Causes Blood In Stools And Abdominal Pain Along With Constipation?

I recently had C-Diff. Now I m experiencing similar abdominal cramps with bright red blood in my stools. I m 62 year old female with OA, RA, FIBRO AND LUPUS. I often experience constipation and feel this may be all that is wrong. My cramps were so bad last night I almost passed out but I used the bathroom a lot and felt better. But I kept waking up all night with cramps. I m still having stomach cramps about every hour like labor pains but not as severe as last night. Do i need yo go to ER.?

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a gastrointestinal infection. A complete blood count and a stool test is needed to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile I suggest you to use Buscopan, three tablets a day in case of abdominal pain. I also recommend to use probiotics daily and drink a lot of liquids.
