What Causes Blood In Urine And Pain Around The Waist?

I am a 52 year old female, menopause in 2012. Today I felt a stream running down my leg and it was urine with light red blood. Two hours later went to bathroom and my urine was full of blood. Pain only from waist down but not severe. No nausea or fever..

As you mentioned you have problem of blood in urine that may be because of urinary tract infection or kidney infection or other reasons.

Urine test and microscopic examination is helpful for further diagnosis.
Complete blood cell count and microscopic examination help in diagnosis.
Detail history and investigation give exact idea about problems.
If infection is present than start proper antibiotics under doctor's suggestion.
Consult a urologist for further treatment..

Maintain proper hygiene.
Drink more water to dilute a urine and flush out a bacteria.
Avoid spicy food..
Cranberry juice is helpful in uti.
Avoid tight clothes.
