What Causes Blood In Urine And Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

My husband has blood in his urine, extreme lower abdominal pain. 2 months ago blood was in the urine, a scan showed small kidney stones, he followed up by having a colonoscopy. polyps removed and since that time the pain has increased. an upper GI on Thursday with no results back yet. another urine test showed blood in the urine. His PSA was slightly elevated but not out of line for a man his age and the doctor wanted to redo the psa in 3 months. in the meantime, my husband seems to think he has bladder or colon cancer. His pain is extreme and he feels constipated, takes a laxative and gets explosive diaherra but it eases his pain temporarily. He also feels the urge to urinate hourly, before it would be 4-5 hours. Any ideas? I don t like him consulting Dr. Google.
