What Causes Blood In Urine And Stool When Diagnosed With UTI?
i am a 30 year old male. have been healthy until recently approximately 4 weeks ago I was having blood in urine and stools and was diagnosed with a UTI. Was given antibiotics. After completing antibiotics I have been constipated and painful bowel movements with frequent urination. Currently feel abdomen is bloated, constant feeling to urinate. I was unable to urinate a couple of weeks ago, went to ER and they put in catheter. 3 days later followed up with urologist who removed the catheter and I was able to urinate. He said the inability to urinate was due to constipation. Over the past 4 to 5 days I have taken laxatives, stool softeners, prune juice and had one bowel movement which was constipation and very little amount and then yesterday had a little diarrhea and had an orange color to it. Both were painful bm s with burning in anal area and abdomen. Today, went to ER for the continual burning feeling in anal area and abdomen the cat scan shows no blockage, it did show a little air around appendix but because white cell count is normal and abdominal pain has been happening for a while dr s don t believe it is appendix related. Currently still having burning and pain around rectum and anus as well as in my abdomen along with frequent urination.

What Causes Blood In Urine And Stool When Diagnosed With UTI?
Hi, sorry for your suffeings, You mentioned , first you diagnosed as UTI . yea, in UTI blood can pass through urination. But blood with stool is completely different issue. My query : colour of stool was black / reddish!!! nice you are taking laxative and other as a stool softner. **Better you avoid spicy food, take an regular anti ulcerant medicine. soon consult with an gastroenterologist for further evaluation to exclude any problem in your gastroentestinal tract. thanks
