What Causes Blood In Urine?

6 or 7 yrs. ago was tested by urologist for unexplained blood in urine. Still unexplained. At regular physician s...Last 2 blood test in last year show 3 on a scale of 4 being most. Should I be concerned? Have been hospitalized last week for diverticulitis.have this often...colon resection 13 yrs. ago. Blood work in hospital did show anemia. Back to blood in urine...odor, darker than normal....no pain or UTI. Your opinion?

Hi. Renal calculus is a possibility but wouldn't last this long. Drugs can cause. Bladder malignancies are known to cause this. It would be good to do a renogram-cysto urethrogram +/- cystoscopy. Blood unexplained is always a.concern and I am not surprised how you feel. Get a second opinion. Hope it helps. Take care.
