What Causes Blood In Urine?
I have all the symptoms of a UTI, I have had one before so I Know what the symptoms are, I went for a my yearly check up 2 weeks ago with my doctor, and I did have a very small amount of blood in my urine. Now when I pee, I can see that there is blood coming out in my pee. I am going to call my doctor s office to see if I can come in, but do you think its safe to take AZO in the mean time or should I tough if out until I speak to someone tomorrow?

Though azithromycin can help relieve the symptoms of urinary infection and blood in the urine, I recommend to consult your doc before starting the antibiotic therapy as if he or she needs urine culture report, intake of your antibiotic will hamper the test results. Drink plenty of liquids till that time and avoid sexual activities if active.

It might be a part of UTI or due to minor stones in the urinary system. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself.
As of now drink plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated. An ultrasound abdomen and pelvis is required to rule out any stones or calculus in the urinary tract.
