What Causes Blood In Vomiting During Pregnancy?

im 40 weeks preggo today. ate some spicy chicken and it didnt sit right, so i went and threw it up. for the first time i noticed a little blood in my vomit...i throw up 1-2 times a month b/c of things my tummy doesnt like and havnt had this happen before. i know i should consult my doctor or go to the emergency room. but im not. just curious as to what it may be from.

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion gastritis is usually present in pregnancy and it is aggravated by spicy food.You might have through up forcefully leading to throat injury like tear and shows up blood in the vomitus.Dont worry once the vomitings stop it heals spontaneously.Take adequate fluids.
