Hello,Welcome to the HCM
I have gone through your son's history,it seems he has got chronic fatigue syndrome. This syndrome may be perceded by any viral infection or without any cause.
This syndrome needs taem work of family, doctors and patient himself to get rid of this.First of all discipline and psycological motivation is important.Multivitamin and healthy diet is utmost important. You may also appoint a meeting with professional counselar to discuss about the quality of life.
For increasing weight he should increase protein in diet E.g. meat, eggs, fish, beans, milk shakes etc and exercise daily.
Hopefully my answer will be helpfull.
Regards,Dr.Maheshwari
