What Causes Blood Shot Eyes In Children With Bronchitis And Ear Infection?

I have a 5 year old son that has been sick for the last 5 days.. the first time i took him to the clinic they said it was viral... I took him in today and they said he had a terrible ear infection and brochitis (spelling).. But his eyes are really blood shot and he keeps telling me that they are bothering him... he is alsom running a fever of 101.8.. do you think that his blood shot eyes are caused from coughing or something else?

fever and cough can lead to blood shot eye, ear infection should be treated. consult ENTdoctor. once ear infection an-fever is controlled eye will be normal.
