What Causes Blood-tinged Light Yellow Urine?

I am male and went to urinate this morning. My urine was light yellow and nearly clear as usual with almost no odor. There was a very tiny speck of red. Also a little burning sensation. Is this a uti. I have been consuming slot of soda and coffee lately.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I understand you're concerned about some red in your urine with burning. With your symptoms a UTI is possible, though not so common in males. Another possibility is that you have a small kidney stone that may be passing. I would recommend getting your urine checked to see if there are any signs of infection and confirm there is blood in your urine.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Aaron Branch,
