What Causes Blood While Cleaning Ear?

Hi, my son just got out thr shower ans I cleaned his ears with qtip. First set where dirty. The the second one came out blood on it in the right ear. Let me also add that we where playing earlier and he knocked in to the glass coffee table right under his eye on the same side ,which puffed up a lil. He was fine. Do u think anything is wrong?

Hello

It is unlikely that the bleeding is due to his previous injury by the coffee table and it is more likely that he has damaged the lining of the ear canal and this has caused the bleeding. Please ask hm not to use q tips and keep his ear dry, also meet your ent doctor to asses the extent of damage. He will examine your sons ear and guide you further.
