hello sir,Few days back blood came out from my husband mouth while he spitted. After consulting doctor she asked him to use Betadine, she said its virus infection. When ever he gargles small amount of blood still comes out.what is the cause? Is it something really serious?
I have gone through your query and can understand..
As per your complain blood in spit is most commonly related to oral and throat related conditions like throat infection, sinusitis, upper respiratory tract infection, tonsillitis and gum infection leading to gum inflammation.. In case if after betadine gargles also and not having any symptoms of throat infection you should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can look for gum infection as Gingivitis or Periodontitis that can also lead to bleeding.. If there would be gum infection scaling followed by antibiotics and gum pain application will help..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
