Blood shot is termed as SUB CONJUNCTIVAL HEMORRHAGE... there are many causes of it most common being idiopathic ( no proper disease/ any reason ) & hypertension or history of long travel on bike or window seat in bus...
Reason being sudden spontaneous burst of small vessels in eye. Nothing to worry about it as it is self resolving condition... It gets cleared within week or two even without any treatment.
