What Causes Bloody Phlegm In The Nose?

I have a cold. Yesterday I coughed up a substance that was rubbery white with streaks of blood but I felt a lot clearer congestion wise. Today I am a lot better the phlem I am coughing up is clear or a little green but is leaving a metallic taste in my mouth. Could this be from the gufesein that I have taken or something else. I am feeling a lot better. My sysmtom or congestion, ear ache, no cough and my fever is gone. Sorry for my spelling. I am female, 31, weigh 270 height is 5'8

hi, nothing to worry, when you have cold the Nasal mucosa is congested and leaks out cold Nasal discharge initially it is sterile then it becomes thick yellowish or greenish rubbery mucus because of non pathogens in Nasal cavity dominates and become pathogenic. when you sneeze the congested Nasal mucosa May tear and bleed causes Blood tinged mucus. do not blow or sniff forcefully. if the problem recurs meet ENT specialist for evaluation. Take Care
